In brief
- Defy the Odds announced a partnership with Hydrastack on 8 September.
- DTO will support regulatory planning, market entry and business development.
- Hydrastack describes its platform as a way to move slot games between Class II, Class III, online and social channels without a complete rebuild for each destination.
These are the terms set out in DTO's announcement, rather than independently measured conversion results.
The problem is porting, not a new theme
For a studio evaluating this proposition, the question is what survives the move: game logic, mathematics, assets and the workflow used to maintain them. A visual reskin and a change of delivery channel are different project decisions.
Hydrastack is inviting discussions with manufacturers, suppliers and game studios. G3's coverage describes that outreach alongside the partnership; it follows the same announcement rather than a separate technical trial.
A useful first demonstration
Our suggested starting point is one existing title and one intended destination. Ask the supplier to demonstrate what is reused, what must change, how the maths is checked and who handles the remaining testing work. That makes the comparison more concrete than a general promise of faster conversions.
For Slotgen readers, this is a development-tool story worth watching, not a verified shortcut for every source-game purchase. There is no performance benchmark in this brief. For a separate practical development topic, see our RGS and wallet integration guide.
